[SALT LAKE CITY, UT.] Much appreciation to Courtney from Live Nite Events for granting special access to the YamJam 2014 show presented by LNE and u92 housed at Club Elevate. Allow me to throw it back to the time I first attended an event hosted by LNE. It was for their holiday party last year and a friend of mine [Juliette] invited me to tag along with her and I must say, since that party I’ve been impressed with the people at LNE because they understand how to successfully group a bunch of people together to have a memorable night. Most of their events are targeted to the night life concert scenes in Salt Lake City and Las Vegas which are produced with a full service entertainment experience. A company that will cater to bringing us top tier artists to liven up any event that’s important to attend.
With that being said the 801 -or as the locals say Eighty Ace– were beyond thrilled to have Tinashe rock in their Thanksgiving season with performing a few of her hits. She didn’t make it to the stage until a little bit after midnight yet her stans said it was worth the long wait. What captured my attention first, of course, were her clothes. A jacket tied around her waist and a crop top that displayed the tao bagua symbol combined with the ying and yang peace symbol which is a bit ironic because a serious fight broke out as she stepped out to sing. “Hey y’all Salt Lake I see you hot!” responded Tinashe to the audience to break the tension in the club right back into bringing the house down in a more positive way. The crowd got hyped when she performed ‘2 On‘ and a song that I for some reason didn’t know before she sung was ‘Pretend‘ and has been on repeat since. Too bad she didn’t sing the Jealous Remix she’s featured on for Nick Jonas’ new single because honestly Tinashe elevated the song to become a perfect one. Hopefully down the line Tinashe comes out to Salt Lake with an official concert yet grateful that Live Nite Events brought her out as a preview!
