[SALT LAKE CITY.] A little back story on how I came across Mac Miller, mainly through twitter because his name was all over my timeline a few years back. Naturally, I looked him up on the internet and found his youtube profile and was introduced to his thought provoking truths – an insight on his minds eye. The song with Niki Randa titled I Am Who I Am [Killin’ Time] and Avian were the first pair of songs I listened to, of his. Visually he’s very stimulating and captivating through his music videos and like I said before-hand his lyrics will bring you into a deep thought.

If I were to give Miller a grade for tonights performance, personally, I would say ‘needs adjustments’. For the most part his hype-man was quite annoying and drowned out Miller’s vocals. It was definitely a distraction and killed every other positive thing that I overlooked. Another thing that I noticed is his lack of crowd interactions which would be in his best interest to implement in his forthcoming shows.  However, Miller showcased a nice range of songs with fast and slow tempos, empowering lyrics, love songs, etc. a nice variety for his supporters to see his talent come to life.

The newest collection of Mac Miller tracks were released in September under the album titled GO:OD AM which is his third studio record. Of course, he performed 100 Grandkids as his leading single from the recently mentioned album. When In Rome and ROS were my favourites that I recognized from the GO:OD AM plus Best Day Ever was a nice throwback and the perfect set to close out the night in Salt Lake City.
