[NEW YORK CITY.] The Park Avenue Armory was the location where Marlon Gobel showed his spring 2014 collection. It was my first off site -from Lincoln Center- runway show that I ever attended. Last year September Gobel was my first fashion show that I ever attended. Gobel has always been my favourite menswear designer and made it my goal last year to crash -with class- his fashion show. Now that he invited me to return this year to attend was the greatest feeling ever!
A little back history on Marlon Gobel from San Diego, California, Gobel has made everyone in fashion notice that men’s clothing can also be alluring. Born the 27th of February, Gobel has studied for a bit at Central St. Martins in London. He then dedicated seven years of his life working with major menswear designers like Thom Browne, Michael Bastian and Bill Blass where he gained most of his fashion education. From his many years in the fashion world Gobel has strategically made an impression with magazine editors, photographers, hair & make artists and other important names in fashion. He is highly known for jackets, suit blazers with high cuffs and meticulous detail in his tailoring and in prints that he chooses and creates for his menswear fashion shows.
Every look that was shown was outrageously brilliant and is what I need in my closet. Definitely need the white-grey coat in my life, along with the bright coloured mesh like blazers. His jumpsuits were just what menswear needed to see. With Gobel you can only expect him to bring innovative ideas to clothing and expound on other ways to dress.
Much Love,
#StyleHeirs.
P.S. you can see brannen and I sitting in the front section.
