[ Honolulu, HI.] It’s really nice to see major department stores get involved with global fashion weeks and present a collection of looks that are available for purchase on their website or in their national store locations. Special appreciation to Sara M with Stryker Weiner for granting StyleHeirs.com press access to Neiman Marcus presents The Art of Fashion presentation at #HonoluluFW in Hawaii.
There’s not much I can really say in regards to the specific collection since it’s a mixture of many different pieces from a variety of designers. Which then doesn’t give me a specific target to grasp the creative process in which a designer took in creating the collection’s theme that normally presents it’s cohesive looks for the world to admire. Besides that, I was a bit let down that Ken Downing wasn’t there because I was looking forward to seeing him again. Since I normally see him at majority of the fashion shows in New York but he’s probably out relaxing after his strenuous participation as a Committee Member slash judge in The CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund announcement dinner earlier this week.
What I can tell you is Neiman Marcus did a well job in bringing Honolulu’s fashion industry together for a well deserved luxurious night. Right before the show guests had the chance to mingle with other guests as they salivated over food and cocktails. It was a perfect excuse to get dolled up and it made me think of the BBC show titled The Paradise – which, if you haven’t seen it please do stream it online through Netflix. It definitely depicts how a department store like Neiman Marcus was operated in England during the 19th Century. Anyways, that’s besides the point.
Backstage was a wonderful adventure that I was able to capture on my Instagram and Snapchat Story’s – make sure to add me @TALAMOBLEY my screen name on both platforms watch it before it expires.
Let’s mention their swag bag goodie box filled with samples of Sisley-Paris skin care essentials that included the All Day All Year Cream, Emulsion Ecologique and more! Thanks a plenty.
