[NEW YORK CITY.] REAL, sums up the collection presented by Ricardo Seco at the New Museum of contemporary art. This season was an epic presentation that had the nighttime New York skyline as a beautiful backdrop encouraging you to want more and to achieving more. It was a real reflection of Seco’s bold and risky journey from Mexico to New York – tying it all together for an urban man willing to sport a larger than life outlook. The presentation started with the press going up first to the 7th floor to get a nice personal close-up view of the New Balance shoe collection that resembled Mexican bright colour beading. Later the models marched in together to take their positions in the presentation as the media world went bananas to get photographs of every meticulous detail. In this line-up I loved the black fabrics paired with dramatic Mexican prints and colourful shoes. Every piece had a lifespan of being worn eternally without going out of trend.
