[NEW YORK, NY.] A group of six new designers were introduced to this season’s official schedule. For Romeo Hunte, he took advantage of making his first impression known with being represented by a disorderly front-of-house team. Even with his team’s lack of communication, confused models and the hurdles that were thrown at the attending guests. Albeit, we cannot deny that Hunte has striking talent worth exploring.
A combination of both luxe street style and swimwear birthed an exciting niche market for Hunte’s designs. If only New York City had decent beaches to surf these pieces would explode all over social media timelines. In the collection, Hunte pieced neoprene wetsuits with eye-catching outerwear that included furs, nylon, and tough camo material. For the most part, each look was unique – it wasn’t a cohesive collection that screamed in unison – but shown together, it presented nicely.
