[NEW YORK CITY.] For every NYFW goer, we all know that The Blonds are the absolute reason why we get excited for Fashion Week. No other designer can pull together such an elaborate and an outrageous scene of out-of-this-world glamour. No other show brings an audience that puts on their own show with what they wear and who’s who arriving to the show. It’s the only time that the MET Gala can jot down a few notes on exhibiting couture fashion and the star-studded attendees that naturally gravitate to the show.
Once again, before the show I was escorted backstage and found myself rubbing shoulders with a few important names like Amanda Lepore, Dascha Polanco, DeJ Loaf, Karrueche Tran and Teyana Taylor are the main ones I got to talk and interact with. For this Spring Summer 17 collection, both David and Phillipe Blond took to celebrating their 10th year anniversary! With their 10 year celebration, The Blonds revisited a few of their favourite moments and even took to push toward a new direction for their brand. With new a direction comes new destinations in MENSWEAR and Red Carpet pieces. All they had to say was MENSWEAR and I’m all ears and I’m all there to join the fucking party! It’s so nice to see menswear in a newer, more fitting light that’s filled with platinum, crystal silver pave metal mesh tank, glamour, liquid bomber, nude sleeveless sweater and much more glorious god-like powerful clothes. The one thing I aspire in life is to be dressed in this collection and be an advocate in pushing for the Nobel Peace Prize to be awarded to The Blonds for their peaceful and cultural advancements!
As for red carpet attire, I’m excited to see the bona-fide duo create more custom pieces and have every spectator yearn for more.
