[LONDON, GB.] Based in Denmark, the duo from Wood Wood sought out to expand their presence in London. Last year, both Karl-Oskar Olsen and Brian SS Jensen presented at London Fashion Week: Men’s, for their first time. It’s nice to see that the designers have had continued success in the UK. For this season the guys took their brand from streetwear into nature and the mixture between both sceneries translated well through clothes.
A major influence in nature that inspired Olsen and Jensen were the expressive hilly mountains, which made sense as to why the title ‘Come Down Easy’ naturally fits for this season’s showcase. Majority of the collection captured the natural colours like the autumnal deep rust featured in the denim, the forest green found in the outerwear women’s jacket or the obvious camouflage look. In a select few pieces, instead of actual skiing patches, the creators used printed fabric with animated patches. Bucket hats didn’t really say, winter sports but that’s the touch of streetwear within the theme.
From someone who hasn’t ever skied, it’d be nice to take the garments up to Park City, UT and see how truly the outwear will last in warmth. Only because these looks are the type to wear around Sundance Film Festival and not actually ski in them.
