Zella Day – Concert Review.

[SEATTLE.] Normally, I’m always finding new artists to listen to through youtube with their suggestions they offer. Yet with Zella Day – her album cover showed up on my Facebook timeline and it peaked my interest so I immediately went to check out her profile and found links to some songs but I was more interested on her tour dates. There wasn’t time to waste and I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to go see her perform live. Special thanks to Mark for granting StyleHeirs.com press access to review her live show at Chop Suey.

A collection of self-written songs by Zella Day has been released in June and titled Kicker as her first official studio recorded album. Out of all the tracks Hypnotic is the best in my opinion because it highlights Day’s sultry and exotic wavelengths throughout the song. As I listed to her performance it was nice to witness raw and hard emotions displayed as Day projected her voice. Let’s not forget her secret weapon in playing her signature tambourine that captivated her audience as she guided them into a musical journey.

Apparently Time Of The Season is a song that everyone knows except for myself but Day’s cover of the Zombies hit was a great introduction to get a taste of her vision and talent in music. Which is a brilliant connection to track number four from the album called 1965 that illustrates her true hippie persona. Also track number nine is a note-worthy listen and sounds about right with wanting to be the one but without the tears because I’m not the one to cry for just anyone.
